June 18th to the 20th 2009…This was our fourth trip to Fort Rapids Water Park. I can’t complain about any of the stays. A few times things didn’t go perfect and we were not always treated as kings and queens but all in all every trip has been a blast and our two kids have enjoyed it. I stay in hotels 22 nights a month, and the things that happen here, happen everywhere. But please note that there is a world of difference between the tower rooms, (which are old and worn), and the villa rooms which are new and fancy with super big flat screens and fireplaces, way over the top compared to other hotels. We have always been treated fine and have had very good service every time. The arcade is nice and well maintained. The food bar inside the water park is good & not very expensive. We have never entered the water park without someone greeting us at the door. We have always felt very comfortable letting the kids take in the whole inside Water Park knowing that they can't get out without us. I have had credit card issues and management went out of their way to assist me. On one trip our toilet would not flush and they moved us to a huge Villa room for no extra charge. After that I never wanted to stay in a tower room again. (But I have) The kids have enjoyed the Kid Carson tower rooms with their own bunks and flat screen TV. Once they charged my credit card double and they went out of their way to call my card company and fax them a letter explaining and correcting the problem. Another time I had an American Express Gift card that they had to get approval for over the phone, it turned out to be a drawn out ordeal, and they worked on it until it was approved. Everyone has been polite and helpful from the employees in the gift shop to the maids you pass in the hallway. You get what you pay for, for three 3 full days of water parking and fun for less than $500.00 what do you expect. We have as much fun as going to the beach and it only takes us a little over an hour instead of the 10 hours. We always go 2 times a year during school summer vacation and I can’t wait until our next trip in August.
